This one actually goes out to Mona (don't worry, the others are just as awesome!). So I don't know if you remember saying this but in May you said that if my boyfriend, Miguel, and I stayed together for three months that you'd be surprised and buy us dinner. Well we are, so there! Howdy, ladies! I thought I would stop by and say hi. Always love the tunes when you come to town. Good times to be had by everyone: you put on a great show. Mona, I heard from Michael from Kotz Cajons and he said the MT Box is going into production. I'm stoked! If I can get half the sounds out of it that you get...we're in business. Has Raining Jane ever considered doing an "unplugged" CD? I loved your sound at Off the Leaf when you were here last. The organic sound is more my style--I don't want to cramp your own because what you've got is working--but it can't hurt planting a seed, right? Sun's always shining when Raining Jane's playing--keep rocking. You're awesome!

Hi ladies! I've been a fan since seeing you play with Sara Bareilles at the Wiltern back in Oct. What an amazing job you all did and I so regret not meeting you after your set! :( Most times opening acts are kind of blah, but I have to say, I've become quite a fan since then. That hardly ever happens! Anyways, before I continue to rattle off, I noticed in your "Gigs" section you didn't post your March 11th gig with Sara B at the Hotel Cafe. Are you all still playing that night? I'm just curious since I got tickets to the show and I'd love to see you all play again. Let me know?

You all are amazing!!! I went to Sara Bareilles' concert last night here in Eureka, CA and had no idea about the opening band. I can honestly say that I liked EVERYONE of your songs! And, of course, I just had to buy the cd. I noticed that your song "paper cut" isn't on it and, after looking up your other cd's, noticed it wasn't on them either. I can't remember if you said last night or not, but will that song be coming out on an upcoming cd?! Soooo looking forward to the next time you're in town!!!! Christy

How did I not know about this guestbook? I saw you wonderful ladies in Nashville and I was completely hooked. I haven't stopped listening to the EP and I also purchased the albums I do not have. I was very fortunate enough to meet all of you after the show. How can I post those pics up? I have a pic with Chaska and Mona because we were waiting on Becky and Mai...it's super cute. But the pic with all of you is awesome too. When will you come to Orlando? You can come play at the House of Blues. Then I will take you to the parks to have a rockin' time :) Ever been? It's a really good time. Ok, well after writing a novel, I'm done. Much Love ladies, ~Panalee

I spent my 21st birthday in Atlantic City this weekend, and was given tickets to the Sara Bareilles concert in AC as a gift, because I love her music. I have to say that you gals were absolutely fantastic and I am now the owner of your newest cd. You blew me away with your amazing sound and great vocals. There is something so unique about your music, which made it that much better. You made my 21st truly special because I will never forget your set, and now have a new favorite band. I just had to say that you are an outstanding band, and wanted to copmliment you on your performance this past Friday night.

Saw you last night in AC, opening for Sara Bareilles. All I can say is WOW!!!!! You blew my friend & I away! We had never heard of you, & this was the first concert where I loved the opening act. You are all amazing, & play your asses off. I just bought all 3 of your cds from your site. You have such a great sound & a different style, you're just really amazing. You're a great fit to tour w/ Sara (who is such an incredible talent in EVERY way). I just wish you were able to perform more songs. Thanks for such a great performance, & I hope to get to see you again soon. Can't wait to get the cds!

I just have to tell you ladies that you blew me away last night!. . It is so refreshing to hear musicians using intruments from around the world. My brother is a percussionist , who focuses on african druming. So I am kinda familiar with the intrumesnts used. I wish that more artists would use natural sounds instead of computer made noise. Please keep making this beautiful, fun, exciting music. . and I will continue to be a faithful fan. . Thank you again and I can only hope that your passion will spread through the music industry. . .

You guys signed our flabby chests after the show, and my friend and I were arguing over which one of us you guys were giving the business. Im pretty sure it was me. I am tall and have delicious curly hair and a tan italian body, vs. my friend with a buzz cut and pasty irish figure. Either way you guys were awesome.

You ladies are phenomenal. I listen to a lot of music across many genres and I can honestly say your sound is sonically unique and incredibly beautiful. My wife and I saw you perform at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA with Sara Bareilles and I was immediately smitten. Went home that night and downloaded your albums off iTunes and I (almost literally) haven't been able to stop listening (your music and lyrics grow on me with each listen). I couldn't sign up on your mailing list because of some technical error, but please add me if you're able. Also, where can I find out who sings which song? It would mean a lot to me if you could e-mail me this information (my e-mails kyleg@spokesman.com). You are all amazingly talented musicians who really deserve to make it big - I wish you the absolute best!

Awesome concert! I am the person who asked you to give Sara the message that we came back to see her because we loved seeing her in October 2007 when she opened for Maroon 5 at the Q. My daughter was the one with the uncomfortably cute shoes! I am so glad you were there to perform. My daughter is very important to me and I want her to meet good role models. I feel that all four of you are great role models of strong women who are pursuing their passion in life. I want her to be like the four of you and pursue her passion! Thanks for the great music and for being who you are. Rock On!

I was introduced to your music when you opened for Sara B. at HOB Houston. I was floored by the talent and energy that you guys have. I actually got tears in my eyes during "Desparate Sails"...which is now on repeat on my ipod! My husband went and got Mai's autograph for me (wishing he would have gotten them all) and surprised me with both cd's! You truly have a new fan that is so happy that you came to Houston~!!!

Ooh btw, I forgot to mention, seeing a woman of ethnicity up there was quite inspiring because I'm mexican. I know she's persian, but I was definately able to put myself in her shoes much more easily than everyone else. AND, I was wondering (because I read your bios) did the person who did a lot of digital design create this website? Because it's REALLY good, and I'm in a digital design class as well. mmkaythxbye!

    October 19, 2008

Hey, I just saw you guys last night in Spokane at the Knitting Factory, and may I just commend you all for making an all girl group in this world of men. I've never seen a rock group pull out so many diverse instruments! The cello, the sitar, that BOX thing Mai was sitting on...it was way cool. I'm 15, and now I'm thinking of making a girl group with some of my friends! We all have talent, and we don't like working with boys to make music, because the boys we know are just wayyyy too picky. You've inspired me! Thanks for the wonderful time! I'm now a big fan. ~adri

Raining Jane, your musicality, vibe, originality and performing ability was simply brilliant on Saturday at the Wiltern!!! You still have lots of Bruin love over in Westwood - do what you do, because only a good song or two can explain how much it means to hear your creativity! Let me know if you ever want me to help organize a crowd and a great show at UCLA - I'd be honored to do it!

I belive that Raining Jane is more qualified to be the Vice President than Sarah Palin. Here is why: 1)They have more executive experience having run their own business for 5 years. 2) They are more in touch with real american having travelled the US for the last 5 years. 3)They understand our infrastructure needs having travelled 150,000 miles in the last two years alone. 4) They truly understand compromise having lived in a van with each other year after year. 5) They have produced 3 records vs executive orders and mayoral proclamations. 6) They are personally invested in green solutions because their livelyhood is based on gas prices. 7) More experience in front of audiences. 600+ performances in the past 5 years vs one RNC convention. 8) They are tri-lingual - English, French and Farsi. Lastly) Gender isn't the only reason they are nominated.

Hey, you guys are mentioned in an article in the Chronicle, they are talking about the costs of bands and it reads: "cross the country, colleges spend student fees on a wide range of bands, from up-and-coming groups like Raining Jane to six-figure acts like Ms. Underwood. Some coordinate schedules with other colleges to bring down costs — a practice known as co-op buying — and others blow their budgets on one big name."

Hi girls. Still love you and looking forward to seeing you again when you come to Augustana. Got an e-mail from Javie a couple of days ago. He bought the Neil Young DVD I recommended and loves it. We both have HD-28s, thus the common bond. He says you are like family to him and Sara B. Mona, you are my favorite, you were so much fun to talk to, you guys were rockin' to the Nadas that night. See you soon. Rich

Thanks for great show at NDSU a few weeks back. Eyra and I had such a blast! She enjoyed chatting with you all and LOVED playing drums. I think it's incredibly important for her to see talented women in action; my sincere thanks for taking a few moments to encourage her... she hasn't stopped talking about or listening to "Wyoming Sky" and is now a Tom Petty fan too after the cover of "Mary Jane's Last Dance." We both hope to see you back in this area again soon!

Excited to hear your new album! You girls rock. I tried listening to the samples online...said they're not available, just an FYI. When are you going to play in Denver? I am so grateful that you girls finally compiled a new album! It's long overdue! Now since I don't have paypal, I'd appreciate it if you could squeeze Utah into your schedule. (I don't know why, I always feel better buying a cd at a performance than online or in a store). Best wishes to all of you until we finally meet again! *screams with excitement*

On your website you have no gig listed for our College, the College of St. Bens/St. John's University, yet on your Myspace, there is a gig listed, for March 4th. We would like to have another fantastic concert of RJ. What's the real deal? mcs

    February 08, 2008

I went to Knucklehead's to see Ray Bonneville, but RJ stole the stage. Amazing show! I can't wait to see you again. Your live performance is next perfect; one of the best live shows I've seen lately. It's so refreshing to see a talented group on a grass-roots tour. You're making yourselves the right way. You've earned what's coming to you. Keep that unique sound and your potential will be met...does that sound like a fortune cookie? Thank you Raining Jane for a beautiful night in Kansas City :)

  203. Mickey
    February 08, 2008

Ditto to the Knuckleheads salute. Brilliant set; clean, clear songwriting, cool musicianship (great chops all around) -- you gals put on one hell of a show. Good luck with the tour and get out of the college circuit!

  204. Keith Koenig
    February 08, 2008

Great show at Knuckleheads in Kansas City last night, opening for The Nadas! I enjoyed your originals and picked up 'Diamond Lane'. I do have to say that your cover of 'Video Killed the Radio Star' put a smile on my face and I'm sure that somewhere, The Buggles would be proud! I also had the pleasure of meeting Mona, who is not only one of the nicer musicians you could ever hope to meet, she is a complete Bad-Ass on the drums! I really enjoyed the band and wish you much success and can't wait to hear the new songs. Have fun and be careful on the road!

Good to hear that you gals are back on NW College Tour. I first head you in the small town of Klamath Falls... Looking forward to see you perform in Portland soon... need to buy your second album. Did not know Becky played the Sitar...Should have the Mona/Becky duo performance in the next album. The lyrics on Wyoming Song is pretty cool. Did Mai write that? Good luck with the tour and your fan will be there when you visit Portland!!!!

Chaska The small portion of your concert that I caught was so amusing. Sorry I had to split to check out some other performers. I should have stuck around for a few minutes to share some performance enhancing knowledge with you. K here's 2 quicks Train to reduce the damaging stain you put on your voice. If you drink alcohol it can only be cognac for the serious performer. Alcohol dries out one's voice. If you choose to get serious I might hook you up. check out www.gatewaymastering.com ,it's right here in Portland Maine. I usually don't talk to band members that grab me from behind but since the birthday boy dropped his draws under the bands direction I'll excuse you this one time.

Hey there ladies, Love your music. I'm friends with Josh Day and Sara B and you've hung out with my sister Casey when Josh played with y'all at the Tongue&Groove in S.F. I'm working with an up and coming singer/songwriter Amy Steinberg, www.amysteinberg.net or www.myspace.com/amysteinberg, I think you may have shared the stage in LA a while back. Anyway, we're working on a tour for Amy and wondering if you have any tips, venues, festivals etc. It looks like you may have done the NACA thing. And, of course we'd love it if you would keep Amy in mind if you ever need an extremely entertaining opener. I'm sure Josh and Casey would send there love and howdies to Mona. Congratulations and Thank You for doin' what you do. dwb
